How Natural healing guidance can change your life
There is one thing that all of society has in common for the most part… that is.. to feel healthy and well.
Experiencing illness and pain can be debilitating, frustrating and extremely inconvenient. The physical demands can affect your mental well being, with chronic disease being highly associated with depression.
So it is no wonder the disparity and surrender that is given to Doctors when someone is vulnerable and just wants to feel well.
There is so much underlying physiological manipulation in society around our healthcare, where alternative options are deemed “woo woo” science, or not science at all. Yet, the science that is against alternative view points comes from the same bought-and-paid science that created the medical textbooks in the first place. Biased?
There are amazing medical professionals that work tirelessly and are dedicated to serving others.. I know that from personal experience, working as a Nurse for nearly 15 years….however, the system itself, coming from the top is flawed. There is just no alternative to wellness according to that system. It is a black and white. It is to treat in the way, they know how too, and any other options are just not compatible viewpoints.
Have you ever been to the Doctor and asked about alternative treatments to a condition? In most cases that will not get you anywhere. And it is sad. But what is worse is a-lot of people think that their personal wellness is directly controlled with this obligation to do what a Doctor says. There is no room for informed consent or personal options… our societal fear of getting sick runs so deep, that we abide by what we are told, and in those 15 minutes you get to converse with a Doc… your lives are in their hands.
But they are the experts after all, right?
So yes of course, we could debate about the good side of our medical system and the technology that saves us. Sure, we all want somewhere to go in an emergency… but I’m talking about our daily life, our intuition, our ability to do your own research and make a choice accordingly. And most of all, aligning with how you feel. No one can take away your truth. If you feel off, tired, in pain etc, yet you are being told you’re fine, then that is not ok.
I am not here to just highlight western medical injustice, however, it is important to understand how to learn how to tap into your needs and make informed choices.
One thing I have learned over the years is the power of perspective. Everyone has one. Including your health care provider. You could go to 3 different Doctors, and they will all have a different view of a condition. This is why the choice is always fundamentally yours! You should never feel doomed, pressured, rushed, sad, unheard or belittled for your questions or concerns. If you do, it is time take your power back…
Here are 5 things you can do today, to take back control of your health and wellness. Change is a process..but anything is possible with an open heart and mind.
1. Commit to educating yourself before making a choice.
This goes for lab values also. Different care providers may have a different stance on what is normal. Always look into medications, side effects and interactions before taking anything. This can go for natural medications too. There may also be other options that are more gentle, or have less side effects. Keeping yourself informed and giving yourself options is everything.
2. Commit to the root cause.
Understanding the why can help you over come a condition more quickly rather than treating the symptoms. Root cause can be looked at from other medical perspectives like Traditional Chinese medicine, where they align the symptom with a corresponding organ, and treat the meridian through means like acupuncture.
We are all energetic beings and it’s important to understand that energy and emotions play a role in our physical body. Our body is our communication data centre. It speaks to you regularly, through symptoms! Your beliefs about yourself, stored trauma, tension, and unbalanced energy centres(aka chakras), are all in part of the bigger picture. Be mindful what you say about your body. Your hip is not “bad”… it is just communicating with you.
3. Use gentle support, like Herbs and supplements.
Now here’s the thing, even the supplement industry is a business, and depending on anything to cure you means your in the wrong lane. I believe any supplement or natural medicine should be used as your bridge to wellness. Not your necessity to survive.
Supporting yourself with herbs is a beautiful thing but it is important to understand that your body already is a healing machine. In the right environment it has what it takes to heal itself. And we need to continue to believe that about ourselves.
Any medicine, or healer is like a delivery system. It provides the codes to support your programming. It creates the opportunity to heal. But ultimately, you are your own healer. Supporting your body with natural healing products and energy medicine is the most gentle and compatible form of medicine we can use, as long as we use it with the correct intention and awareness.
4. Muscle testing.
Learning to muscle test your medicine is a great way to align with your higher self and also save money. There are plenty of ways to muscle test and there are videos online, like YouTube, that can show you how to do this.
The way I like to do it is, I will hold the medicine or bottle to my stomach( solar plexus) and close my eyes. I ask.. “Is this treatment for my highest good and will it do what I intend for it to do?” Or, keep it simple and ask, “ Is this good for me right now?” If your body naturally sways forward than the answer is “yes”. If it pulls back, than the answer is “no”.
5. Commit to a healthy lifestyle.
This one is pretty straight forward. But obviously essential. What we put in, we get out. Eating pretty clean, dodging toxic products, not smoking or drinking alcohol, and moving your body, is probably the obvious. But it can still be hard for many to commit or find balance here when life becomes demanding.
One thing I find challenging in the world of social media is all these diet and supplement trends. They can be confusing and not right for everyone. Wellness is not a 1 size fits all approach. What works for others may not work for you, and can even be detrimental to your health. Take the keto diet for example. This is a great way for some to lose weight and keep fit, for others, especially some women, it can negatively affect your hormones and nervous system. Same with cold plunges…for some, this can be exhilarating! But if your nervous system is taxed or you are in adrenal fatigue….regular cold plunging could be detrimental. These are just examples of the variations of effects we can experience when we make choices without connecting to our individual needs first.
Your body is perfectly designed in its own unique way, and you have the ability to connect with that inner voice, with knowledge, awareness and practice, and as a result, you will make informed choices, accordingly.
Now choosing 5 things to discuss here isn’t easy, I could definitely keep going. The mind-body connection and our energetic and spiritual alignment play a key role to our physical vessel. But to start, knowing your potential to heal your body and advocating for yourself, will be the best start to any healing process you go through.
Don’t forget, if you feel called to be supported or educated in your healing journey, that’s what I am here for.
With love,
Tara
